Cleansy ("we", "us", "our") operates https://cleansy.ae and provides cleaning services across Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and its Executive Regulations, as well as any applicable Dubai-specific data protection rules.

1. Who we are

Cleansy is a cleaning services provider based in Dubai, UAE. For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at info@cleansy.ae or via WhatsApp on +971 50 350 49 34. For the purposes of UAE PDPL, Cleansy acts as the Controller of your personal data.

2. Personal data we collect

We only collect data we need to deliver, schedule and improve our cleaning services:

  • Identity & contact data, name, phone number, email, WhatsApp number, residential or business address in the UAE.
  • Booking data, service type, property type and size, preferred date/time, access instructions, special requests, recurring schedule.
  • Payment data, invoice details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
  • Communications, messages you send us through WhatsApp, email, contact form or phone, and any feedback or complaints.
  • Technical data, IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, referring URL and similar information collected automatically when you use our website.
  • Marketing preferences, your consent to receive updates, offers or newsletters.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us so we can delete it.

3. How we use your data and the legal basis

We process your personal data only where we have a lawful basis under UAE PDPL:

  • To deliver the service you booked, confirming bookings, scheduling cleaners, sending arrival notifications, issuing invoices (necessary for performance of the contract).
  • To respond to your enquiries, providing quotes within 6 hours, answering questions on WhatsApp/email/phone (legitimate interest).
  • To operate our business, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, internal training and quality control (legitimate interest, legal obligation).
  • To improve our website and services, analytics, performance monitoring, fixing bugs (consent for non-essential cookies; legitimate interest otherwise).
  • To send marketing, newsletters and offers, only if you have given consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • To comply with UAE law, tax records, regulatory requests, court orders.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Our vetted, employed cleaning staff who need it to deliver your booking.
  • Trusted service providers, payment processors, scheduling tools, hosting, analytics, WhatsApp Business API and email providers, bound by confidentiality.
  • Professional advisors (legal, accounting) where strictly necessary.
  • UAE authorities, regulators or courts where required by law.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers (for example, hosting, analytics, email and WhatsApp) may store or process data outside the UAE. Where this happens, we rely on transfer mechanisms permitted under UAE PDPL, including transfers to jurisdictions that the UAE Data Office recognises as providing an adequate level of protection, or appropriate contractual safeguards with the recipient.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and to meet UAE legal, tax and accounting requirements. Booking and invoicing records are typically retained for up to 5 years to comply with UAE tax legislation. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent.

7. How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, vetted staff, signed confidentiality agreements and secure cloud infrastructure, to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify the UAE Data Office and affected individuals as required by law.

8. Your rights under UAE PDPL

Subject to the conditions in the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and request a copy.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data where the legal grounds for processing no longer apply.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing or other consent-based processing at any time.
  • Request that we transfer your data to another controller in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.
