We wipe the surfaces we can reach, vacuum carpets, rugs and the seating cushions at surface level, then mop hard floors where the finish allows it. Light tidying means cushions straightened and clutter grouped neatly — we do not sort or move personal belongings unless you ask. Shampooing sofas or rugs is a separate specialist job rather than part of a routine visit.
Beds are made with the linen you leave out, and fresh sheets can be changed if they are ready in the room. We dust headboards, bedside tables, dressers and other reachable furniture, wipe wardrobe doors and handles, and clean the floor areas that are clear enough to reach. Items on the floor are moved only where it is obvious and safe to do so. If a particular bedroom is used more than the others, or a guest room needs attention before visitors arrive, mention it when you book so the time is spent where it counts.
The kitchen usually takes the longest. Countertops and the sink are cleaned and dried, the hob or stove surface is degreased, and cabinet fronts, handles and the outsides of the fridge, oven, microwave and dishwasher are wiped down. Bins are emptied and fresh liners fitted where you provide them. Washing up is handled when it fits the time you have booked — say so in advance if it should be part of the visit. Cleaning inside the oven, behind or under the fridge, or inside cabinets is a heavier job that we quote separately.
Toilets are cleaned inside and out, sinks and taps are washed and polished, and showers, baths and screens are treated for soap residue and the water marks that build up quickly here. Mirrors are cleaned streak-free, shelves and reachable surfaces wiped, and floors washed last. Routine cleaning keeps this on top of things, but it has limits: once limescale has hardened on glass or grout has darkened over months, a maintenance visit will not shift it. That level of buildup is better handled by deep cleaning.
Entrances and balconies collect the dust and sand that everyone walks in, and in villas it reaches the hallway within a day or two. We sweep and mop the floor areas we can reach, wipe railings where they can be cleaned safely from inside, and clean door surfaces, handles and the frame around the entry. Anything that would need leaning over a railing, working at height or reaching an exterior high-rise window is outside what we do — those surfaces need specialist access equipment and are not part of home cleaning.
